Class: III College Parish: Saint Francis de Sales, Philadelphia
What year did you enter the seminary? 2007
What did you do prior to seminary entrance?
I was working as a cashier at a Sunoco gas station. I attended Community College of Philadelphia as a part-time student.
What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?
I heard the call more clearly as I prayed the Holy Rosary and the Lord of Host revealed to me the Saint Louis de Monfort spirituality which changed my whole life. I attended daily Mass for over a year and went to Eucharistic Adoration almost daily.
Why do you want to be a priest? I want to be a priest for only one reason and that is because I believe this is God’s will for me. Therefore, I accept His will that I enjoy His peace and love.
What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary? My family are supportive of my decision and have helped me on my journey.
What do you do for fun? I love to write poetry, play sports and draw sketches whenever I feel inspired.
Who is your favorite Saint?
The Holy Virgin Mary is my favorite saint because she has brought me Jesus in so many ways. The Rosary is one example.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary? I think he must discern his vocation carefully through prayer and his sacramental life. I strongly suggest attending a retreat and speaking with his pastor.
