What year did you enter the seminary?

2008

What did you do prior to seminary entrance?

Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) at Drexel University

What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?

The power of the Eucharist, Catholic tradition, the shortage of priests and the courage that comes from God.

Why do you want to be a priest?

I’d like to be a simple parish priest, a doctor of souls who brings the Lord to all I meet.

What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?
Overall, the reaction was positive. Invariably with today’s culture, some scorn my decision. A number of people didn’t understand it.

What do you do for fun?

Mountain biking, weight lifting, most sports but definitely not tennis, sailing and playing piano.

Who is your favorite Saint?
Mary, the Mother of God who is exalted above all the saints, Padre Pio, St. Louis de Montfort, St. John Vianney.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Consecrate yourself to Jesus through Mary. St. Louis de Montfort’s -- 33 day devotion and consecration is available online.  I would also recommend that you pray the rosary each day and be as courageous as you can.
