What year did you enter the seminary?

2009

What did you do prior to seminary entrance?

I worked for several years as an analyst in the actuarial department for a health insurance company.

What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?

The example of several priests I’ve known over the years was a big influence.

Why do you want to be a priest?

I want to serve God and serve His people.

What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?

To leave behind a promising career to enter the seminary is a big change, and it took some time to accept and understand that change. Ultimately, however, my family and friends were supportive of the decision.

What do you do for fun?

I like solving puzzles (e.g. crosswords, sudoku) and similar mental exercises. When I have the opportunity, I enjoy cooking and baking. I also look forward to opportunities to visit with family and friends.

Who is your favorite Saint?

I have several but the Blessed Mother tops the list.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Talk to a priest or to the vocation office to get more information. Ask questions. And above all, pray that God will lead you where He wills.
