What year did you enter the seminary?
I entered St. Charles immediately after high school graduation in the Fall of 2003.
What did you do prior to seminary entrance?
Prior to my entrance to the seminary I helped out as a sacristan at my parish while attending class at St. John Neumann High School.
What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?
By far, the greatest influence on my discernment of a priestly vocation was the example of holy priests and religious in my parish.
Why do you want to be a priest?
I want nothing more than to follow the call of Christ. Through prayer and discernment I have come to believe that it is God’s will for me that I be formed for the priesthood.
What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?
My family and friends have been and continue to be extremely supportive of my vocation.
What do you do for fun?
For fun, I usually just like to enjoy the company of my classmates, friends and family.
Who is your favorite Saint?
The dearest saint o my heart is most certainly the Blessed Mother; as I hope she is the same for all seminarians and priests. What better a model and guide have we in the ways of simplicity, chastity and obedience.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
Pray! By the grace of God, through prayer and discernment, you will come to know if He is calling you to the priesthood. Be generous! if you are open to God and willing to respond to His call you will discover that God can never be out-done in generosity.
