Fall 2002

What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?
A younger priest who came to my parish and had a great devotion to the Eucharist and the Rosary influenced my decision to give it a try.

Why do you want to be a priest?
I believe it is what God wants of me and there is no greater life than to serve at His altar and preach the gospel.

What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?
There was a mixed reaction among my family and friends from very supportive to very much opposed.

What do you do for fun?
I like watching the Eagles, Penn State football, the Phillies and the Flyers. I also enjoy reading and listening to music.

Who is your favorite Saint?
Mary. I believe that devotion to our Blessed Mother is indispensable for anyone trying to grow in the spiritual life.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
I would encourage him to spend time before the Eucharist every day and to constantly seek the intercession of Our Blessed Mother. Also I would encourage him to talk to his parish priest or a priest friend about it.
